Moving out of the Kenny Neighborhood was not ideal for the owners, and building a second story seemed unattractive to this established neighborhood. We created a layout that maximizes function, storage, and flow by crafting an addition.

A Place to Entertain

Objectives included opening up the floor plan for entertaining large groups of people. This required us to relocate the kitchen to the opposite side of the house, which allowed for an island with seating, larger appliances, and plenty of storage space.

Space for All

The homeowners also wanted a space to display art, as well as desk space for the kids to do homework. We designed a built-in hutch piece that ties into a desk area that welcomes guests as they enter the home.
